RYDER SULLIVAN

Born on May 18, 2005, Ryder Sullivan hails from the Lone Star State of Texas where everything is bigger and better. Sullivan is an up and coming pop artist/singer/songwriter who blends the style of modern day pop with pop rock ballads from the '80s. Imagine the spunk of Harry Styles mixed with the nostalgia of George Michael. Sullivan has had the great honor of covering songs such as "Purple Rain" by Prince, "Falling" by Harry Styles, "Faith" by George Michael, and many other amazing songs. He takes great inspiration from artists such as Harry Styles, Elton John, Prince, Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, and George Michael. He greatly appreciates the traditional value of great vocals with interesting melodic lines. All the while valuing having the groove to perform and entertain. Now based in Nashville, Sullivan attends Belmont University and is completing a Bachelor of Music degree in Commercial Music (Voice). Working with some of the best vocalists in Nashville, such as Sandra Dudley and Abigail Flowers, Sullivan has greatly appreciated being taught and mentored by these artists, helping him to find his voice in music and performance. Sandra Dudley says, "With a velvety smooth sound and endearing honesty, Ryder Sullivan's interpretation of a song can summon joy, and tug at the heart. His presence on stage is commanding and electrifying." Sullivan plans to set his feet into the ground and get more acclimated within the music industry creating and releasing his own music and performing in venues around Nashville.

Sullivan grew up in Lucas, Texas, a suburb north of Dallas, Texas where he was raised with a loving family with loving parents growing up alongside his two sisters. Ever since he was a young boy, Sullivan was always a radiant kid wanting any opportunity to get up on the fireplace and perform for family. Whether it be to Hannah Montana, Grease, or High School Musical, he was always up dancing and singing his heart out. It was always his dream to have his name in lights. Sullivan's grandmother, Sondra, recalls his dad saying to her that we will see him in Hollywood some day. Sullivan grew up with music all around him, especially gaining musical tastes from his dad, Casey. Being from Texas, Sullivan has grown up with his share of country music from artists like George Straight and Willie Nelson, but Sullivan had always been more fond of the more pop and rock elements some other artists had to offer in other genres. Always jamming out, dad, Casey, favored artists such as Guns N' Roses, Prince, Michael Jackson, Kiss, Kings of Leon, ACDC, and more. This strongly inspired Sullivan as he was raised around some of the biggest performing personalities such as Prince and Michael Jackson. With the rhythmic qualities alongside powerful music and vocals, Sullivan gained a great inspiration for moving and grooving where he can barely stand still when performing. He just needed to find how he could put all of this passion into something he could pursue. In the 6th grade, Sullivan had joined his school's choir where he finally found the outlet to put all of this musical energy into. Starting as a nervous student at the beginning of the year, but gaining the confidence to sing "Jessie's Girl" by Rick Springfield all by himself at the end of that school year. He had gained confidence feeling like this is something he could pursue in life. This didn't come without bumps in the road or heartbreaks, though.

Sullivan continued his passion for singing throughout middle school when devastation had occurred that Sullivan's dad, Casey, passed away. Something that would turn his world upside down leaving a hole in his and his family's hearts. Sullivan and his family had an amazing support system that constantly uplifted them, helping them to get through some of the darkest of times. Sullivan had continued to sing, being supported by his family and friends with his mom, Jamie, constantly reminding him of the gift he has and how his dad would be so proud that he is still pursuing this dream. This pushed Sullivan to fully go for his dreams finding his footing as a singer and performer. He knew, though, that with his dad's imprint of musical taste on him, that he would go down the path of artistry that would be inspired by Prince, Elton John, etc.

Sullivan eventually decided to go to Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee to pursue a degree in Commercial Music. With the honorable staff at Belmont, Sullivan has developed tremendous musical knowledge and skills that have helped him to find his place as a musician and artist. Sullivan had moments of doubt, but through his years at Belmont, it has been a night and day transformation of his vocal and performance abilities. Being at Belmont, Sullivan has been in ensembles such as University Singers and The Vocal Collective, which is a group that highlights creative and original works. He is going to be a member of the ensemble Company next year where they always put on a show performing and dancing their butts off. A huge achievement for Sullivan, though, has been being a member of the award-winning a cappella group, Prismatics. This past season, 2026, Prismatics had made it to the finals in the ICCA (International Competition of Collegiate A Cappella) in New York City where he got to perform alongside his best friends on a stage that some of the greatests such as Billie Holiday and Whitney Houston have performed on. This group has helped him to really hone in on his musical talents and the eye for detail and performance quality that is essential to being a musician and artist.

Sullivan has many plans in the near future to be creating his own music and performing around Nashville. Though he is fairly new to this scene, he knows that he is on the right track and that everyone's timelines look different. Sullivan plans to finish his degree in Commercial Music in May of 2027 having completed his Bachelor of Music. He plans to use his knowledge and connections from his time at Belmont to soar and finally be the artist he has always wanted to be. Sullivan plans to release music that'll have people dancing while also reflecting on some of life's joyful moments such as heartbreaking moments. He plans on creating music that'll move you both physically and mentally. Stay tuned for more information on music coming from Ryder Sullivan very soon! Let's move and groove!

Ryder is a passionate, energetic, and charming performer-as well as a dedicated team player in musical settings.”
